International students who have gained the right to register at our university will complete their registration processes online if they pay the semester tuition fee.Semester Tuition Fee payments https://yos.mehmetakif.edu.tr/ will be made by logging in through the link.

 

THE TUITION FEES PAID BY REGISTERED STUDENTS WILL NOT BE REFUNDED.

 

Students who have gained the right to register will receive their acceptance letters with QR codes through the Student Information System.

 

WHAT THE REGISTERED STUDENT NEEDS TO DO

From candidates who have gained the right to final registration, during the document submission; 

 

Apostilled high school diploma and high school transcript, a document showing the graduation score, and a Recognition Certificate that can be obtained from the Ministry of National Education (MEB) of the Republic of Turkey or the Educational Attaché of their countries is required for high school diplomas.

 

STUDENT REGISTRATION DOCUMENT SUBMISSION

For final registration processes, students must submit the required documents in person or through notarized representatives to the Student Affairs Department between July 1–September 11, 2026.

 

After the examination/control process to be conducted by the Presidency is completed, the registration file will be delivered by the student to the relevant academic unit.

 

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS FOR STUDENT REGISTRATION FILE
  1. Acceptance Letter.
  1. A notarized or consulate-approved copy of the Turkish translation of the passport.
  1. The original of the high school diploma/provisional graduation certificate and its notarized translation.
  1. The original of the transcript document and its notarized translation.
  1. Exam result document for candidates placed with YÖS (The Exam Result Document must have a verification code.)
  1. The original of the “Recognition Certificate” to be obtained from Turkish Consulates or Provincial Directorates of National Education affiliated with the Ministry of National Education of the Republic of Turkey.

     

  1. If available, the Turkish proficiency certificate obtained from the Yunus Emre Institute or state universities. (TÖMER)
  1. 4 pieces of 4.5x6.0 size photographs. (Photos must have been taken within the last 6 months and should clearly identify the candidate)

 

  1. Financial Guarantee Declaration

 

 

Note: Students without a recognition certificate will be required to sign a declaration and will be given a certain period. Students who do not submit the Recognition Certificate within the given period will have their registration canceled. 

 

RESIDENCE DOCUMENT SUBMISSION-YKN ACQUISITION

 

Students who complete the registration process and submit their student files must also prepare the residence application file and submit it to the International Student Office of the Rectorate Student Affairs Department within 10 business days.

START OF EDUCATION

In order for students to start their academic education, it is mandatory to have a C1 level Turkish Proficiency Certificate (TÖMER) issued by the Yunus Emre Institute or state universities.

 

Students who have a valid TÖMER certificate must present this document to the academic unit they are registered in to complete their course registration processes.

 

TURKISH PROFICIENCY PREPARATION TRAINING

Students who have gained the right to register but do not have a valid TÖMER certificate must take Turkish Proficiency Preparation Training or document their language levels in order to start their education. Details regarding the process are specified below:

 

1. Turkish Level Determination Exam

Candidates without a valid TÖMER certificate can participate in the Turkish Level Determination Exam organized by MAKÜ TÖMER (Turkish Teaching Application and Research Center). Based on the exam results, the academic education process is planned as follows:

 

C1 Level: Students scoring at this level can directly start their academic program.

 

B2 Level (Conditional Registration): Students scoring at this level can start their education conditionally. However, these students must score at the C1 level in the Turkish Level Determination Exam to be held at the end of the 1st academic year.

 

2. Preparation Class Education Process (For Those Who Fail the Exam)

Students who do not achieve a sufficient score in the Turkish Level Determination Exam (those who fail) cannot start their academic education directly. Candidates in this situation will be registered in the Turkish Preparation Class of MAKÜ TÖMER to learn Turkish.
